Blue Dog Ventures, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates NestPair at getnestpair.com, a platform that helps families in the San Francisco Bay Area find compatible nanny share partners. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

By using NestPair, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information you provide directly:

• Family name and contact email address
• Home address and neighborhood
• Children's names and dates of birth
• Childcare schedule preferences and budget
• Nanny preferences (certifications, personality traits, etc.)
• A family description and optional profile photo
• Messages sent to other families through the platform

Information collected automatically:

• Account authentication data via Clerk (we do not store your password)
• Geocoded coordinates derived from your address for map display and distance matching
• Last login timestamp and profile activity status

• Matching: We use your location, schedule, budget, and preferences to calculate compatibility scores and surface relevant families.
• Map display: Your approximate location (neighborhood-level) is shown to other users on the map. Your precise address is never displayed publicly.
• Notifications: We may email you when a new high-compatibility match joins, or if your profile becomes inactive.
• Service communications: We use your email to send important account-related messages.

Your contact email is only shared with families you both mutually express interest in. All other families see only your neighborhood, family description, schedule preferences, and compatibility score — never your precise address or direct contact information.

We use the following third-party services to operate NestPair:

• Clerk — user authentication and account management
• Turso — database storage
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Nominatim / OpenStreetMap — address autocomplete and geocoding
• USPS — address verification

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

We retain your profile information for as long as your account is active. If your profile is inactive for 60 or more days, it is marked inactive and hidden from search results. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hi@getnestpair.com.

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time. To submit a deletion request:

1. Email us at hi@getnestpair.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request"
2. Include the email address associated with your NestPair account so we can locate your data

We will process your request within 30 days and confirm once your account and all associated data — including your family profile, children's information, messages, and location data — have been permanently deleted.

Please note that deletion is irreversible. If you wish to use NestPair again after deletion, you will need to create a new account.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information in your profile
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

NestPair is intended for use by adults (parents and guardians). We collect limited information about children (names and birthdates) solely to facilitate nanny share matching. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 directly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of NestPair after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
